Ahava Asura Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Ahava Asura

Woe is me,
Especially when
I cannot see
On the horizon
If we will be
Together again!

Woe is me!
I'm drowning in
An endless pain
That has no end:
And so should we
Perhaps transcend
The laws of men...

Woe is me!
Without you
My world is bleak,
No ray of sunshine
Can pierce the dark,
This heart of mine
Has totally sunk
In loss's dew—
Nay, languished sea!

Woe is me!
Our love it seems
Is forbidden;
Have we but dreams
O' eternity
But bedridden?

Woe is me!
We can't give up
Despite the walls
They built our way;
Damn being thralls
In slow decay!
This has to stop,
Instantaneously!

Woe is me,
And melancholy
Clasps my neck,
But in the black
I see you gleam:
I swim upstream,
I scratch and claw;
Be gone, o Woe!

There is no life without love—
Not one that anyone should have!
