Ah, The Truth, The Blessed Truth. Poem by Sandra Feldman

Ah, The Truth, The Blessed Truth.

Rating: 5.0

Ah, yes,
The Truth, the Truth
And Nothing but
The Truth!
So difficult to find,
So difficult to tell
Always hidden
By crooked minds
And hidden, Well
In the Swamp
Behind,
Liberty's Bell,
Driven down
Hidden well,
So, no one
Can ever tell
We are being
Trapped,
And sent
To Hell.

Sometimes when we speak the truth, people don't want to hear it. I would rather hear the truth, even if it hurts, because then I can do something about it.

Reading this Truth poem, i am reminded of a beautiful Sanskrit verse. The meaning is that truth is hidden behind a dazzling lid. Only if you open the lid you can see it. Very few people make an effort to open the lid. They are dazzled by the false glitter.

What a beautiful world it would be if we have the integrity to stand and speak for the the truth and always abide with it. Yet, truth has been so elusive because evil people hide it.

Your poem like the golden truth went into a philosophical mode. But as Richard says it is always better to speak the truth even if people hide behind unwilling to accept it.
