Afternoon Romance Poem by Dorsey Baker

Afternoon Romance

Ceramic body of skin
Smooth sweet water
Pearly white teeth embrace
Deep down dark dream cosmic eyes
Deep hole exploring
Flirtation open invitation
to their eternal flame burning
hot as ever
Moonshine work turn into
some simple slogan
importance of remembering
what has been
in order to know
which fountain to turn off
The brightest star
is not the one that shines
but the distant one
And the fastest fingers
might be the ones that
catch the butterfly
before it takes off
Which sets the stage
for a beautiful
and romantic afternoon!
