After Hours Poem by Mountain Man

After Hours

A bar into the stars.
A life of scars,
as the drunks declare
a toast to him.
Him a di dream.

She walks strangely in
a town called Grangely.
A hypnotic trance,
a life to gamble.

As the zombies take their toll
a day in the cold.
Cold glances from the
passers by.
My oh my.

Ignorance,
a dance with darkness
comes upon the hills.
Booze & drugs
a strange advance.
No romantic figures on the
horizon.

A withered life on
its demise.
Crazy infusions with
demonic illusions.
Not a prize insight
upon this night.
A life saved.
On the homes of the brave,
{continued lter}..
