After-Glow Poem by Shalyn Stachmus

After-Glow

I'll tell you a story of mountains and glory,
but time will tell more.
I could tell of the times,
of the riches and crimes...
that I've done this before.

What did you think of dying?
When all your friends are lying,
next to you.
What did you think of dying?
When all your friends were crying,
over you.
Dying, dying. Tell me you're not dying. Next to me. (2x)

I'll tell you a tale of a great ocean gale,
but time will explore.
I could tell all the times,
that I spoke it in rhymes...
and I've said this before.

What do you think of dying?
While all your friends are lying,
next to you.
What do you think of dying?
When all your friends are crying,
over you.
Dying, dying. Tell me I'm not dying, now. Next to you. (2x)
