Adversity Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Adversity

I adore thou’st
O’ adversity
Celebrating
As to be great
Rubbing off
The rust of
My will power
And confidence
Making to believe
Ultimate truth-
Sweetest is to be
The fruit of joys
Sorrows being
When at its peak.
I adore thou’st
O’ adversity
For introducing
Myself to me
Preparing
An ordinary man
For extra-ordinary
Deeds
Causing not to break
But-
To break the records
And find no education
Identical to it
Taking off-
Against the wind
Not with it
Like an opportunity
In disguise.
I adore thou’st
O’ adversity
Celebrating
Thy bitter taste
With no option
Except to endure
And tolerate
Or to be-
Steady and stable
Stay fighting
Purposely
Not to win the battles
But-
The ultimate war.
