Acid Attacks Poem by Abhisumat Singh

What are acid attacks? What are they?
a matter of concern, or something to play.

I wonder what, can be the cause;
contradiction of thoughts, or a gambling loss.

Rejection of proposals, or a matter of business;
why do you, spread such a fuss.

For some motif, or just for fun;
or just like that, it is done!

Why they do it, is a big shame;
they find it, as if it is a game.

Sometimes, I get taken aback;
on hearing even parents, can be a crack.

Men are the cause of most of the scatter;
as if for them, does it even matter.

The pain is on the victim to bear;
the voice of whom, does anyone hear.

It can be during a day, or a moony night;
the survivors are the ones, to face the fright.

Their out may, but their in never heals;
their heat is the one, that forcibly feels.

The scar maybe cured, with something to wear;
but what can we do, to eradicate this tear?
