I never thought I’d have to let you down
I never sought a day I’d make you frown
But you’re not the one
You never brought me fun
So don’t take this to heart
Because I don’t want you to fall apart
It’s what you said to do
It’s what I have to go through
I loved you
But you never loved me
So today I need you to see
It’s going to be this way forever
It’s the way I’ve seen you be
It’s the way you’ll never be for me
This is the end of our day
And all I needed to say
Is I’ve accepted defeat
