Absolution Poem by Anthony Degilio

Absolution

Rating: 5.0

The deceiving wind swiftly blows,
Fragile leaves amongst the hedgerows,
Abysmal heavens glow an eerie color,
Followed by sounds of pure cataclysmic thunder,
Millions screaming in agony at once,
Then silence, across all worldly fronts,
The Beauty of annihilation has shown,
A darkened night the world had never known,
Stars gleaming with light evermore unseen,
While we ruled the lands like heartless fiends,
Now humanity gone, sentient life dead,
Soon from the ashes of crimson red,

Will rise advanced beings of evolution,

Those who believe in earths absolution.
