Abandonment Poem by Doris Cornago

Abandonment

Our
Dreams
Leap steep
From live cliffs
Rocks look down
Blackened boulders
Outstretched like ogres
Past puzzles preambles
Pilloried prattles position
None of it came on its own
Piled pillars tumbling down
Gathering on ghostly groans
Love lost like rollicking runes
Playing pawn, growing gloom
Whistling wind broadly blow
Knees knock weaken woes
Scraping scraps streams
Diminishing dragonite
Castling carousels
Crushing kings
Kingdoms
Crumble
Cons
On

Abandonment

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I watched a Netflix movie series entitled "La Catedral del Mar" and saw pieces of my life come together in juxtaposition with history, the women pilloried by men and laws set by nobles and kings. A woman devalued by a man regained her voice after extracting vengeance. Never fear to speak out your thoughts, whoever you are, for there lies your salvation.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Kumarmani Mahakul 12 September 2018

Knees knock weaken woes and love lost again revives. There is no need to fear. You have freedom of speech. You can proceed ahead with dignity of joy and hope. An interesting poem is beautifully penned. The structure of the poem is a sweet art.10

Hi Kumarmani. Thank you for your sweet encouragement. I am given back the value of my pains when I see comments from poets as you are. I have found my voice late entrapped in prohibiting relationships, but not too late and I hope to continue with such passion and abandon that my emotions will allow.
