Abandoned And Adopted [bruises And Roses - The Series] Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

Abandoned And Adopted [bruises And Roses - The Series]

There seems to be an awkward correlation between the two
The abandoned and the adopted
It's like one offered a rose after a bruise
It doesn't mean the bruise will heal for the rose's sake
And that was what I thought darling cutie
When I saw you lieing so pitifully at my backyard
No one can tell if your loved ones were lost
Or if you were the one lost by them
Either ways, I know I can never be all you've wanted
But I hope I turn out to be all you'll ever need
Dear little doggie, today I call you mine
I offer a damn rose for your bruise
However tacky that may be
Today I adopt you
And that I hope would be enough
