A Vulgar Word Poem by Francis Duggan

A Vulgar Word

A word often used in the lower form of wit
That doggerel rhymers often rhyme with grit
A word used to describe a contemptible person or thing in a vulgar way
And one that is quite often used every day
A word commonly used in every town
By those who do like to demean and put down
On those they do not like they use words that are rude
The people who are known to be verbally crude
Such people one can say not enlightened of mind
On using the most vulgar of put down words pleasure they do find
The point that they are not nice people they do seem to miss
But then as is said ignorance can be bliss
A vulgar word that rhymes with pit and with slit
That you should not have to guess hard for to name it.
