A Void Three Poem by Christos R. Tsiailis

A Void Three

You can’t have three worries in one thought
Can’t kill three bodies with one bullet, you just can’t
Can’t put an anaconda, a lion and an eagle in one cage
Can’t drink vodka, whiskey and wine from one glass
Can’t burn the same forest thrice
Can’t plant three trees in a square metre, you just wouldn’t
You don’t praise the Lord, the Satan and yourself in one prayer,
Or do you, after all?

I really liked this one. It was short but no less sweet. The subtle repetition brings the poem around to form the last link the chain. Vivid imagery, solid points, and wonderfully turned the conclusion on its head.
