A Victim Of Sorts Poem by Francis Duggan

A Victim Of Sorts

He likes to complain of his terrible life
How he has suffered financially and in other ways due to his nasty ex wife
His son and daughter in their early twenties does not talk to him he feels hard done by
He cannot seem tosucceed in life though quite hard he does try

He blames his ex wife and his children for his unhappiness
He says they are to blame for his lack of financial success
A victim of sorts of him one might say
But there are plenty like him in the World of today

His ex wife and children of him have a different story to tell
They say he is one who did not treat them well
Two sides to most stories does seem true to say
In love and in life it isoften this way

Of his estranged ex wife and his children he often does complain
His bitternes towards them until death with him will remain
Only in his late forties with a victim's mentality
There are two sides to most stories is how it seems to be.
