I made a friend
He was simple to my heart
He understood my meanings
And never took it apart

I made a friend
Who listened to my story
He never interrupted
Just tried to fill his part

I made a friend
Who didn't make me feel inferior
He didn't try to hurt me
Only said his part

I made a friend
Who was nice no matter what
He seemed to know my feelings
Even before I let them out

I made a friend
Was he really consider a friend
Even thought we were different ages
And maybe even colors
He didn't try to disown me

Now thank you to this friend
Who never pushed me away
Even though I’ve been polluted
You have a special place in my heart
