A Toxic Street Poem by kalyan mech

Haze eve i was wandering among
The pavement of the toxic street,
Dark clouds sang a numb song
A vile sorcery to greet.
With each step they displayed,
An anger to cross the taboo that i dared,
Each spot that the lighting sparked
Seem all giggle as i glared.

Dogs barked in unison,
Bats on the roof stared,
Who around me near,
Turned back, blast among the air,
A cold wind passed by me
I felt; it has touch.
My shaking mind tried to make another step,
Like a response, 'yeah i don't fear'.
