A Thousand Piece Puzzle Poem by Meagan Loves Cody

A Thousand Piece Puzzle

Rating: 2.0

If you only knew the truth
about what i've really gone through
You wouldn't say the things you do
You wouldn't act the way you do
Have you ever felt worthless and no good?
Never knowing who to trust
Couldn't tell fact from fiction?
Swollen eyes and a broken body
was all you remembered from the other nights beating
Being touched by someone you love
Not understanding what to say or do
Feeling sad and angry for you remember
Him saying never tell and knowing you never did
Exposed to sex and drugs not knowing it
was wrong when it's all your momma does
Never judge anyone before you get to know them
because this is just one piece to a 1,000 piece puzzle
that I call my life. Do you think you know me now?
