A Thin Line Poem by soren Barrett

A Thin Line

Out of brilliance sprouts sensitivity
Feeding on details is its proclivity
Occasional distortions spawn bacterial suspicion
Fear of weakness, makes it overprotective of derision
A tendency toward exaggeration, in such a vivid imagination
Can only lead to misinterpretation, violence and aggravation
In the fever of jealousy and hatred it does live
Completely unable grudges to forgive.
With insecurity it uses projection
Blaming others for its own imperfection
Breeding on the stress of paranoia's cancerous mold
Tumors of inflexibility begin to unfold
Although still able to perform complex calculations
Now its memory is full of conspiratorial fabrications
In a final attempt to preserve its expectations
It tumbles headlong into delusions and hallucinations
