A Stingy Lady Poem by U Win Kyi

A Stingy Lady

She was a fat lady
having plenty of money.
She was so stingy
that she bargained loudly for a penny.
She bought 'Buy one, get one free'
She sought a cheap deal.
She bought a lot
the product of 80% off.
She bought warm clothes at the end of winter,
thin clothes at the end of summer.
Why the clothes of 'soon to be out of season'?
Saving money was the only reason.
She went to mall for shopping
at the hour near closing,
when the food became much cheaper
as the expiry date getting near.
She bought cheap.
She ate cheap
so that her wealth became a big heap
which she would leave
when she died indeed.
She was a stingy lady
having no interest in charity.
