In the shower room this morning I found a song my heart
Humming care free the melody of a song from my childhood
This far I've come the melody wasn't lost but instead became refined
In my song every fear and worry of life was soaked in and disappeared

The song in my heart spells out love and joy even when the world outside doesn't
The beautiful melody of the song in my heart makes everything okay
The song in my heart will carry me through when everything else outside goes silent
God put this song of hope in my heart for a reason that I should sing it one day

Every man and woman has a song in their heart that never fades away
The song dies not even when everything goes wrong when it should be right
Will you sing the song in my heart loud with me when that time comes?
Am I bold enough to look inside and craft the song inside my heart for all to hear?

Look inside your heart and find delight in your own song
Let not the worries outside steal your inner joy and peace and your song
When the noise outside is deafening, go within and find your song to sing
Even when the depth of life in uncertain, find depth and meaning through the song
At times the song in your heart is all you got, a gift to self that stays alive.
