A Song At Christmas Poem by ANTHONY ANIGBATA

A Song At Christmas

Rating: 5.0

The bells I hear ringing
The yells so near to us
A year’s heading to the dust
Flowers filling the empty floors

It’s another month to rejoice
The roads hazy and blue
Like primrose under the sun
Late hunters hustling to hunt;

Speakers spreading the season’s song
The bells are now roaring
Not too distant from our designed homes
Things done dead-dozen months still here done
Despite the times, Christmas is here with us

Rejoice O rejoice
The brown and the light
Clap and shout
That day is back again
Here comes that ill-less birth
That glorious kingship, in the manger

The winters are fast approaching with the fervor of festive season. Lovely poem suitable for the occasion. Thanks, Anthony.
