A Social Thought Poem by Paritosh Dhawan

A Social Thought

Running away to home after tired of headaches of the office chores
Sat in my car I drove as fast as I could, rats in my stomach couldn't wait anymore
Making plans for the weekend, looking I was for a low traffic road
But the streets were filled with people marching in protest, the path was choked
Dying in hunger, I asked the what-a bouts of the event
'We are here for Anna, fighting against corruption' I heard the unison sound
The employer & the employee the old & the young, the father & the son all were out there
A March to enlighten others & warn the controllers, asking for everything clean and fair
'All the wrong method in-practice should come to an end ' such words came shouting
The fashion of scams, bribes & money laundering needs to meet an ending
This unprecedented agitation was to come one day; to witness it I was proud
To fight for right & to get everything entitled the common man has come out
News came, ' such protests are being carried all over the nation,
The people are coming forward together as once like the past in 1947
The authorities are baffled about the law and order maintenance
When the white knight leader has pleaded followers for peace for movement's sustenance
Following it all on the news I started to wonder
How long will it take to strike the thunder
Will the government be awaken and get itself corrected to the roots
In India anything can happen, even flowers can bore fruits
