A Smile Poem by Cristian Dolon

A Smile

From my left pocket I take out a coin...
The work life like everyday I'm about to join.

I enter the train station...
My everyday transportation.

I sit on the benches to the far end of the track...
Listening to music as I relax siting back.

After some time the operator confirm...
That the train is entering its final turn.

At top speed the train slows down...
Just an everyday stop at my small town.

Its doors open with its engine still at full start...
I enter the train as it once again gets ready to depart.

I never really noticed or didn't even observed...
The special seat that for me was reserved.

As I sat down on my seat...
I tapped my shoes to my music's beat.

I felt a little strange stare...
But thought if i should even care.

After a while I had to look to the side...
I noticed the smile she tried to hide.

She became the cutest thing I've ever seen...
Wearing glasses, a white t-shirt and a gray jean.

Slowly she looked up at me once more...
She seemed like something I wanted to explore.

This time she doesn't hold it in...
She gives me a small but lovely grin.

This was the very first time we ever met...
But I think it'll be a day we'll never forget.

Finally the train got to my station and I had to go...
Sadly I knew that she wasn't going to ever follow.

As I walk away and head to my apartment...
On the way I start to think about that moment.

How she gave me a smile...
Even if it was a second of a while.

I really guess as strange as it seems...
Could I have just met the girl of my dreams?
