A Second Coming: Writing These Intimate Poems Brings Me Back To Life

Writing these intimate poems,
making such revealing statements
breathe new life into me.

Why this fear then sometimes
when talking about these things?
expressing only reinvigorates me.

How explain this strange antinomy?
I can't. It's just a part of me, my
make up, part of my human mystery.

We need to live life without fear
or prescription, be wary of those
who prescribe, manufacture fear.

Bernard, Bernard, thanks for your compliment. The idea for this poem came this morning as I was putting some other poems on PoetHunter. I read some of your poems. Good work. I see you have been a practicing poet for quite some time, which is a tribute to your long-term hard work and craftsmanship.
