A Sad Valentine Poem by Emilia Tejada

A Sad Valentine

Rating: 5.0

I waited for a rose
I waited for a kiss
I waited for you to come
and confess your love
But you didn't come
I was torn
I wondered what was wrong with me
But I can't figure it out
I cry in my bed
until I fall asleep
A love melody
comes from out of my window
unfortunately
Its for my neighbour
not for me
the bouquet of roses
on the door.
With a card saying he loves her
with all his heart.
I go back inside
trying to hide my red eyes
And avoiding this day is hard
Because it has to go by
I promised i wouldn't cry
But its hard
Now I can't believe in this anymore
I want to feel love
But no one will ever
even look up at me and say
what a pretty face
and send me a rose
on the valentine day.

A sad lament of Valentines Emilia, we all have these bad ones my dear. I am bracing myself for mine this year. Like you say, we just have to get through the day. Your poem is one way. But the world is your oyster, and you will have a happy Valentines one day I'm sure. I did and I hope for you and I, a whole lot more. 10 from Tai
