A Rare Beauty Poem by Francis Duggan

A Rare Beauty

Her wild birds are chirping on bush and on tree
The beauty in Nature so lovely to hear and to see
It is a rare beauty that will never die
But is mortality for Humankind based on a lie
As time goes us humans do not have a long span
In ten years from now I will be an old man
But the beauty of Nature does live on and on
And will still be around when all else has gone
In every Country and on every shore
The beauty of Nature will live forever more
The blossoming trees will scent of natural perfume
And in the warmth of Spring and Summer the flowers will bloom
The passing of time has left me looking gray
But it is a rare beauty that I see today.
