A Prince's Dream Poem by Leon Moon

A Prince's Dream

The False Monarchy
Swamps the mind in acid gold,
Brewing in Merchants

And their presumed worth;
Stables upon the plateaus
Drop gravel on beasts...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sphere of bold immense
Engraved in the corpse of love
Rest my constant sense!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The prince bows to light,
Of his own golden shadow,
Lit by pious sight....

Of Earth he's abound
In glorious riches', mind,
Under Verse's sound;

His plaque of emerald
In a noose above a throne,
Thaws at the herald

Of a patient child,
Blessed before the brow of green!
Ordain's froth and piled

From the commanded,
No King, but a wanderer
Of the burning dead!

Like the Sun's bower,
Above Justice's tower,
The Prince is silent...

- - - - - - - - - -

His repose to night

Is clouded in worships sheathe,

The infinite light...

- - - - - - - - -

The Hunter judges,
Faun's perform in the glade of
Eternal anguish!

- - - - - - - -

A Sun of Dust fades
Pale streams mumble at the waist;
Eyes roll to the night.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The False Monarchy
Swamps the mind in acid gold,
Brewing in Merchants

And their presumed worth;
Stables upon the plateaus
Drop gravel on beasts...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A priest steals a vow
And his nimble crosses bleed
On glints of gunfire.

- - - - - - - - -

A Godly fragment! - -
I found constancy in thought,
His present of light.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The thread binds to all;
Absence is Opposition,
All is Expression.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

In my creed of man,
I ordained endless visions
That no breath had laid.

Never was grasped, the
Universe's breasts bathed in
Dark canals of thought.

Eternity's mask,
Untouched by experience,
Blinked as the Sun's scale.

Nature became God,
Man thought the all powerful
And I sought nothing.
