A Prayer To Her Poem by shane lewicki

A Prayer To Her

A prayer to her
A cry between two souls, its all that can be done.
Staring in the face of death,
a blank stare between brothers.
A touch colder than the fear itself,
a known fortune, blanketed by hope.
A stolen angel, a stained memory,
a plague God conceived on the minds of the weary.
Questions never to be answered,
a child of life stolen by seconds.
Innocence captured by nightmares,
dreams of life stolen by faith.
Where is God, stealing the souls of children,
the wisdom of life forgotten,
stabbed in the back by the holy.
Our father who art in heaven,
spite thy name for the innocence he captured,
alone are the souls he left behind,
for ever and ever. Amen..
