A Poem About Static

The family returns
In a jovial mood
Plenty of energy
Plenty to do

With a smile on her face
She makes an observation
Of the cloudless sky
And the sunny disposition

The words are lost
As radiation and static
blanket the house
save for the attic

One by One
They all grow stoic
In emotionless anticipation of the next flashing flick

Muscles relax and pupils dialate
Family and furnature fuse into a tasteless cake

Not unlike majestic lightning crashing through a cloudless sky
I watch in subconscious disgust
As free thought is raped, then swept away as dust

Enjoyable read. If I get it right, you're not a fan of the way your family sits in front of the TV and wastes there wonderfully gorgeous day out side. Cleverly written with a nice style.
