A Poem Poem by Mignon Isaacs Bryant

A Poem

Push my heart to clearer songs,
I need to find where I belong.
I'll rock the boat until it tips,
I'll swim 'til I find bigger ships.
My life right now's at open sea,
I don't know what is meant for me.
But if I shake all that I know,
I'm sure I'll find somewhere to go.

There are limits I have to push
To get out of the naked cush.
Soft is not all good, you see,
For when you're smothered, you can't breathe.
I'll swim until I reach the air,
No matter what the dangers there.
For, out at sea, how will I stand,
When all I've ever known is land?

My crew has always been my world.
I've spent my life completely curled
Around my defined misery.
When all this time, I could be free.
I guess I've always been afraid
That once I left, the ones who stayed
Would help each other to great heights.
But I will have to learn to fight.

I need to find something to do.
Something that's brave, something that's new.
I'm tired of being stuck on a boat
Of people who won't keep me afloat.
I need to go to find new shores,
With no ceiling, walls, or floors.
Nothing to keep me paying a fee,
When all I really want is free.

Push my heart to clearer songs,
I need to find where I belong.
I'll rock the boat until it tips,
I'll swim 'til I find bigger ships.
My life right now's at open sea,
I don't know what is meant for me.
But if I shake all that I know,
I'm sure I'll find somewhere to go.

big girls do not cry, you should never give up in life, just accept sweet and sour, that is life and never always expect good in life what, nice poem.
