A Place I Have Known Poem by Ray Hansell

I cry my tears
To ease my pain
I stay locked in my room
To hide my shame

I don't want the world to know
That my world has fallen apart
I'm just waiting for a brand new day
Waiting for my healing to start

So, I'll wait for the passage of time
Then maybe somewhere down the road
I'll give love another try
With someone to help share the load

But, if I never find that someone
Than I guess I'll go it alone
Being all by myself
Is a place I have surely known
