A Person I'Ve Heard Of Poem by Francis Duggan

A Person I'Ve Heard Of

Feel free if you wish to criticize what I write
But do not tell me I should not email my verse to a poetry site
As one arrogant person told me as much a short while ago
In their attitude towards others some their ignorance show.

A person I've heard of but do not even know
One whose ego at the insulting of others does grow
Only a webmaster can stop me of emailing my stuff to a site
I've never told anyone that rubbish they do write.

I have told this person to get off of my case
And since he is one who does not know his place
Perhaps in communications skills he ought to take a course
Since people like him only inspire my creative source.

If you dismiss what I pen as rubbish well that suits me fine
But what you think of me is your business since it cannot be mine
But you who tell me not to publish my verses you are in my face
You are not a nice person and you do not know your place.
