' A Perfect Love For Forevermore

In us, my lov' there was no beginning,
and ther'll be no end...evermore.
We could have been souls from a universe
bonded by the stars
that we watched one night,
together, from a place called ''Destiny ''
the only place I know of,
or can remember, tho' I've had many deja-vu's.

Yet, I know you were always mine,
when I saw you once again
in another time,
and I touched your face,
loved you deep, as you came with me,
where ever life took us...always waiting-
as I did for you...as you'd do for me.

I knew you, you knew me;
such events...beyond enigma.

Yet, consider this,
what if Death-
were a concourse of planes and ambits,
but in which we were not fully cogent of-
the knowledge or experience that takes place
within this capsule we breathe in
and exhale until we move once again...

Or what if, our dreams were not dreams at all,
but instead, a journey to another dimension.
And if that be so, please stay close, my love,
let us love each other to sleep every night;
indulged by two bodies, consumed by two souls,
so deep, so deep, that perhaps our dreams
will meet, and wherever that next place may be,
ther'll be us, together, just like before
two souls connected by the grace of God's kiss,
that one day shall become... forever.
Yet, for now, my love we must travel
on journey, you and me...within a dream,
and pray to God, each night,
if this all but just a dream,
that nevermore you and I should wake.

____ _________ AUTHORS NOTE_____________
My inspiration for this strange piece of work, as
a many of my works tend to be (so I've been told) ,
is my silent mentor and favorite writer, Mister
Edgar Allan Poe...For several years I have made
attempts to hone in on his mastery of the Written
Word, be it poetry, prose, composition/essay or
the Mystery/Horror Short Story, which Poe pio-
neered and as well as being credited as the inventor
of the Detective story. Poe was truly the 'Master
of Macabre'. Thus far I have fallen quite short on
my quest, yet it is, however, that is what provides
me the impetus and desire to keep on trying...FjR
