A Mother's Care Poem by Eleonor Santiago

A Mother's Care

She carries you with all her love in the world,
She sings and read, stories and poems even when you are not in birth,
She speaks of goodness, prays and wishes that you be blessed for always,
Till you first open your eyes, with all loving smile and tears in her eyes,
Coz you were the most beautiful being she sees, in all her lifetime.

She's kept awake, even when you're down in sweet slumber,
She manage everything to keep you safe and happy for always,
She dreams for you and help you through, for she knows what's good for you.
She gave you her best time, her best loving arms, her best cuisine,
And mostly her best wishes and blessings.

She hits you with a rod, for she knows she couldn't spoil a child,
She teaches you all good things and tell you what maybe bad
For she wants nothing but a happy and successful life you should have.
She's your first teacher, first best friend, first aider and driver.

She does your laundry, fix your bed, for she couldn't afford to see you unrested.
She loves to brush your hair, tie up your shoes and dress you well
For she smells wonderful fragrance in you, as she gives you her best caress.

She is the first one to cry when you will be hurt,
For you are her most precious treasure in all the world,
If she can only put you in her pocket so that nothing touches you even a dirt.
But life is not like that, so she never stopped giving you advises until you stepped out.

She may not be glamorous for she think last of herself.
She may not be always cheerful, for she have worries only God can put out.
She may not be a spoiler for she never want you astray.
She may not be like other moms, but honestly, you know nothing of that.

To all mothers in the world, our best gift is not just a hug and kiss,
Not just flowers and cheers, but most specially living a life that she wants us to be.
A God fearing being, to keep all her worries from seeing.

This is such a loving, beautifully written tribute to one who sounds like such a wonderful Mother. You've have thought of everything a mother does and wants for her child. Can't think of a single item you could've left out. I love this heartfelt, beautiful write!
