A Mother Poem by Ti'ara D. Perry

A Mother

Rating: 5.0

she birthed you into this world
she raised you as if you were a diamond pearl
she taught you from right from wrong
the times she've spent with you were very long
even though you have no love for her
she'll still be there
when you're hurt
its sad to know
because a mother knows best
if only you knew
you'd past the test
the time you were here
the time you had respect
only she could tell
the rest of the quest
she fed you for health
she clothed you for warmth
a bed she gave for love and comfort
but as it seems
that's not enough
life before you know it
you're in handcuffs
it flashes in your eyes
then you come to think
she was the only one who gave you strength
