A Morning In America Poem by Suzae Chevalier

A Morning In America

Rating: 2.7

Highways and streets all light up
with lights from cars and trucks.
A car and two trucks right in a row
down the street they go.
Sounds of honking of crazy drivers
driving by-
Happy birds flying by
flying high way up in the sky.
People walking on the street
cars in driveup at McDonalds getting food to eat.
People buying newspapers at Andy's on Lake
people buying coffee at Starbucks to get
their day off great.
Cities around the country are busy
in waking up to the rat race...
Some people are doing jobs they love
and have a smile on their face.
While others would rather be sleeping in bed
dreaming pleasant dreams in their head.
