A Million Heartbeats Poem by Bill Simmons

A Million Heartbeats

Rating: 5.0

The fragrance of the forest
The sea in the breeze
The sounds of children
Laughing constantly

The echoes of mountains
The call of a soaring bird
The cry of a newborn
The sound of life heard

The sound of a beating heart
And a million heartbeats
Tells the world who we are
In a place that’s called free

Beneath the wings of an eagle
Soaring in the breeze
We come for you
To bring you liberty

So when you know one day
And for the first time know free
Know came for you
A million heartbeats.
