A Lyrical Poem - Played On My Greek Lyre Poem by Peter S. Quinn

A Lyrical Poem - Played On My Greek Lyre

Rating: 5.0

Make mine - an inspired line
Oh dear poetry
Of emotions that a writer can't define
Something personal from me
Not a story to write
But a lyre to play
Like bards before have tried
With a tune in to lay

Let me dance with its instance
In to somewhere it brings
How I love Pegasus trance
As from other world sings
To my heart - to my feel
Like a waves of the deep
Not explanation of a deal
But the sounds on to keep

A writer I’m not supposed to be
But a poet I'm surely
For mine - are from the poem - to see
What moods of the lyricist – are purely?
