A Love That Should Note Be, A Love Not To Be, I Love I Did Not See

Rating: 5.0

How has this become
we lay together as lovers in secrecy
out souls climb and circle all skies
our eyes, fingers, lips and hearts
share in unison a passion struck
by the arrow of cupids quiver
and here together we share a love
a love that should not be
a love others could not except
no law nor moral code exists
just the social commands
or a world in which our love
is one that should not be
~
In another life
were I to offer my hand and heart
you would except and return
such affection in abundance
and a life would be crafted
by the sculpture of our fate
of our lives now entwined as one
and such stories and songs would exist
in place of those we now write and sing
and what of all those dreams
what of them could make together
which new wonders could we begin
in another life, another place
ours would be a love be
~
Blind-sided by the passage of time
by such desires and passions
that believed to be a lustful thought
now calls out by day and night
demanding that there is more to be
feelings change and forge new thoughts
new ideas of the way things could be
new worlds brought into sight
a different view of the stars as till now
unseen by these eyes, as though closed
in such a space of time reopened
and born to a new world
one such place I never thought to see
