A Love Poem Poem by Brett White

A Love Poem

Gently swaying trees slough their dying leaves;
And only God sees eternal love which conceives
A gentle thought in accordance with the divine.
Soul-Growth cannot be bought, and you are so sublime
Every Flower shivers in your presence, a halo,
Which intensely glows in your darkened absence.
Internal loving thoughts lie below the depths;
Deeper than an ocean, as arctic as your beauty:
Cool and ceaseless motion, and truly
Your Grace is a mystery unraveled in Sunshine.
Sunshine Graces pages of your Soul's history
Every day with you, in a word is, Fine.
More words are needed to expound upon your Grace:
One word does not justify your beautiful face.
Thou Forever Art A part of my Heart, beating, and
Contemplating the ferocity of cupid's lethal dart.
Your vulnerability has killed all my pride;
Typically unaffected, my Soul sprang anew.
Your eyes' grip on me, cannot be denied.
My defenses, in a word, you totally slayed.
And when the castle walls come falling down.
Your Voice is a melody, O the sweetest sound.
Your Voice causes Sirens, in the Sea, to run...
And Darkness Fall over the dim lights of today,
In a splendid way, God's brief curtain call.
When silence is all that you need to say,
Tumbling and stumbling in Love we shall Fall...
