A Lost Poet (Tribute To Misty & Marley - Border Collies) Poem by Phil Soar

A Lost Poet (Tribute To Misty & Marley - Border Collies)

Since she went away the words don't come
Since she went away I'm overcome
It may be only days, but I am lost
And poetry will have to pay the cost

Imagine if you would, a true best friend
With whom you couldn't be with at the end
Then picture all the tears that flowed like rain
At the thought we would not see that friend again

It's taken part of me and I feel blue
You see, I lost my other best friend too
In only six short months, they both left home
And left this poet almost on his own

My family are my closest friends I know
We've watched the years roll by, and watched them grow
And we also shared our family with those two
And now their gone, this poet is so blue

I felt every word about your beloved two border collies. It really is tuff and plays havoc on ones soul and heart when losing a pet so dear to you. Take care Phil, it does take a long time for I also know this kind of pain.
