A Look At Myself Poem by Joey Habib

As i sit back and try to relax,
I think about all the old times ill never get back...
The only thing i ever lost and couldn't find was time,
So i let my thoughts marinate in my mind...
Someone once told me that whoever forsakes the old way fot the new knows what they are losing but not what they will find....
Thats a choice that i will have to make,
and a chance i will have to take...
I wish i could just fall back and live on Easy street,
Then i wouldnt have to lie and never have to cheat...
Maybe my life is someone else's dream, or maybe its my own #&@%ing nightmare,
I dont see my own problems so therefor i dont care,
I see everyone else's problems and do nothing but stare...
That could be my dilema in the first place,
But i dont have the guts to look in the mirror and see it face to face....
