A Long Wind Of Destiny Poem by Maria Sudibyo

A Long Wind Of Destiny

I stare calmly to the distance sea
Silent and unbothered
The world seems so far away
So small and unimportant
Even though I could see the thunder
Roaring fiercely in front my eyes
And the storm threatening to come
I can't bring myself to care
I don't want to move from this place
This frightening peaceful place
Maybe I'm waiting for something
Strong and shocking enough
To sweep me from this comfort bubble
Or maybe I just long to hear
The wind whispering softly
It's time to wake up from my dream
