If only you could see
Just how hard it is for me
to be nonchalant around you
than maybe I could move on.

Now I am stuck in this place
It's been so long I thought it couldn't happen again
but you're all it takes
to prove me wrong.

I know I want you
I can't see anything else when I close my eyes
but I know you would break my heart
You're not meant for me.

You have her and I have my pride
together we would only hurt each other
if only I could make my heart see that
then maybe I would be okay.

So don't fall for me
I know you will say there's no chance of that
but I just want you to know
you're not meant for me.
