A Little Rain Poem by George Aul

A Little Rain

I awoke to the rumble up in the sky,
one dark and dreary night-by and by,
my heart was pounding with every loud clap,
as I sat up in bed with my hands in my lap,
I asked, 'How many times does the thunder
wake and shake frightened people asunder? '
I thought to myself 'It's no more than Nature's call, '
because even for the Earth-some rain must fall!
