A Letter To My Muse Poem by Abekah Emmanuel

A Letter To My Muse

Now I am soaked in tears,
For long neglecting you,
Though you spy me in fear
Thinking I will break loose.

I’ve been deaf to your calls,
And blind to your gestures,
But I still need you more
Yes! Now and the future.

Come to me oh my muse!
The feather is ready,
Don’t this my call refuse
And bring lovely poetry.

Each day I think of you,
How you graced my letters,
Why would I make a move?
That will us separate?

I’ve just been around,
And don’t mean to you, shun.
Come, let’s whirl the world round
And let’s this silence adjourn.
