A Knowing vs Feeling
just keep living
though living today feels like a barren desert
desolate
where is my joy?
happiness has disappeared from my broken-spirit
when did i leave you?
did You move?
my feet have not left from Your path
right? or have they wandered again?
when did You leave me?
i feel blah alone lonely
for skin
the days seem to run together like runon sentences that go on and on and never seem to have an end and hard to read i can not read You
where is my understanding and patience?
where is my knowledge and wisdom?
o my barren soul
desolate waters trickle down over me
reminding me of my starvation and parched spirit
i need Your Living Water
the storm is here and has stayed for days
no signs of letting up
will it ever end?
have You let me go from Your wing?
Lord, i do not feel You
can't see You touch You hear You
i need You
i have no feeling of loving expression left in my heart
i have looked for You everywhere
have turned upside down every jar i had left of hope
i am exhausted and surrender
to feelings of helplessness
empty hopelessness
darkness closes in on me
bleakness all around me
Your promises are everywhere but here
but You have made a covenant with me
i wait for You
a glimmer of light
appearing out of heaven's deep blues
then You come to meet me
in my deepest hours of need
there You are!
You are the Faithful One
You deliver me
You have been here always
I did not see You in my feelings
o feelings of ups and downs
how do you deceive me feelings
where do you birth from?
you have no deep roots
you come and go like the wind
leaving destruction in your path
devastating those who listen to you like truths but not
who is among you feelings?
have your spirits been tested?
every feeling is not from You
are you of deep roots? or lies?
I will trust in Your promises
I know You have plans for me
truthful plans
plans that can't be uprooted so easily by feelings
deep rooted plans
You are Faithful to me
You hide me in Your wings
I am nestled and hidden in You
in Your knowing places
deep roots have You developed in me
a knowing that can't be shaken
rare discovered jewels
only seen and uncovered by spiritual eyes
foolishness to the unwise
I see You
You are here to rescue me
as feelings led me away
I will trust in You
I'll trust in Your word
when lies taunt me
I will listen to what I know
who I know
who I believe
a knowing keeps me whole
You are Faithful Lord
You have hidden me all along
in the shadow of Your wing
He is Faithful!
His Spirit is tested
He is Truth
