A home vegie
/ Zachary Huang
All summer I wait
Waiting for you to slowly expand
However, it should not be too big
For when your are medium-sized
You are the sweetest
There will be no black powder inside
Just like I miss my home town
Too much of it, tears will soak a pillow
A little of it, faintly
Only sweetness is tasted
*A Chinese vegetable, Chinese wild rice, can be grown here. After 3 years I finally was able to taste it here. When it is fully grown, black rust (fungal spores) will be inside, thus it tastes best when in medium size. see wiki for Zizania_latifolia
