You can’t help me though you try,
So don’t pity me when I cry.
You see me with friends but I’m alone,
I feel small, my fears have grown.
When you see inside I’m aching,
Do you know me heart is breaking.

You try to help me, I know you do,
But no-one can, not even you.
You show me love everyday,
But when you do my trust won’t stay.
I know you see my thoughts are shaking,
But do you see my heart is breaking.

If you try to ignore my signs,
How can you expect me to withdraw the lines?
I know you’ve got me in your heart,
I know that soon you’ll depart,
And with you, my trust, you’ll be taking
Because you couldn’t see my heart was breaking.
