Pages and pages of failed attempts
Ink wasted on dreaded lines
As they try to form meaning

Words, words I long for them
Words to touch thy soul
And make a mother cry

Words to change thy perception
And reinvent what we call emotion
I long for them with my devotion
A pen and a page I await my inspiration

Let me write a poem worthy of history
Words composed of so much meaning
That they change ones own fate
